"Having a moderate amount of experience restoring implants, I felt the next step in my clinical abilities was to begin placing implants myself. Ken's course has provided me an excellent opportunity to learn how to place implants properly, and more importantly to get the prosthetic results I wanted but had previously lacked. Through a program of comprehensive technical as well as clinical training, I am now getting the esthetic results I had hoped for."

"Dr. Hebel took the mystery out of the placement and restoration of dental implants. He showed me that with proper understanding and planning, implant surgery is safe and the success is predictable. Hands On Training has been a wonderful learning experience."

"Ken displays not only the skills of an excellent clinician but that of a great educator. His ability to communicate in an easy and relaxed manner separates him from most lecturers I have seen. Many times I have left a course with cup 1/2 empty. After this course I left with cup more than 1/2 full."

H.O.T tip... from the desks of Drs. Hebel & Gajjar

Grafting Success!
If you’re having trouble with grafting, make sure that you’re following all the steps!!
One of the key steps to grafting success is commonly overlooked . . . site preparation.
Integration of graft material, whether it is an allograft or autograft, requires blood flow to consolidate the graft. Without a blood supply from bone, the graft cannot easily be integrated into the surrounding area, and vascularization becomes very difficult. The graft is more likely to be resorbed or turned into connective tissue rather than bone without proper site preparation.
Decortication of the receptor site allows blood to flow through and vascularization to occur. Many practitioners, forget this vital step. Without decortication, the success of the graft is reduced.
Tips on decorticating the receptor site:
1. Use a small round bur to make puncture holes through the cortical bone
2. Penetrate through the cortical plate until blood starts to flow through the hole
3. Create puncture holes over the entire area to be grafted
4. Watch out for the roots of existing (adjacent) teeth
5. Don’t forget to leave enough intact cortical bone in the area of your screw fixation (for autogenous grafts)

And the final tip . . .
Make sure you give the graft enough time to consolidate. Sometimes, patients pressure us into rushing the healing time and jumping ahead with treatment. Make sure that you explain to them that a few extra months of healing can make the difference between success and failure . . .

Leasing
Program
The leasing program is so good – it's almost too good to be true!!
Here are some common questions about the Nobel Biocare and Hands On Training Institute cooperative leasing program . . .
How does the leasing program work?
The basic leasing package includes all the equipment needed to start doing implant surgery in your practice – the Nobel Biocare surgical set up, along with 20 implants and Sessions 1 & 2 of implant training at the Hands On Training Institute.
What does the basic leasing package cost?
About $470.00 CDN a month.
Can I lease other items?
In your lease, you can include other equipment from Nobel Biocare. You can also include other training sessions as well as the Click & Print Patient Education software package. The monthly cost is adjusted accordingly.
What are the advantages of leasing?
By leasing the equipment, implants and education, you can become involved in implant dentistry without large up front expenses.
Did you say I can make money with this program?
By placing even one implant a month, you can generate enough income to cover the cost of the lease and generate a profit of approximately $1900.00 CDN.
The leasing program is becoming a very popular way for dentists to become involved in implant dentistry. Click here to download a PDF file for more details, or contact your local Nobel Biocare representative.
It really is too good to pass up!
