"This is one of the finest courses I have taken. The presentation is fantastic, the facility outstanding and most important, the knowledge is dispelled in a concise, applicable manner. Drs. Hebel and Gajjar are true professionals with great concern for us as students. I especially appreciated Dr. Hebel's consideration to show us successes as well as difficulties. I learn so much more from failed or compromised cases and how to compensate and correct. Thank you for elevating my career and practice."

"I have taken many implant courses since 1987 and I found this program to be at the top of the field. Dr. Hebel’s depth of knowledge was communicated very clearly and he served as wonderful teacher in guiding us through the entire implant process i.e. initial exam,
pre-prosthetic and surgical evaluation as well as all steps through completion. I would highly recommend the Hands on Training program."

"Ken Hebel, Joe Armstrong and Reena Gajjar provide a world class program in a state of the art facility. Anyone wanting to learn about implantology would benefit greatly by attending this course."

H.O.T tip of the month...
from the desks of Drs. Hebel & Gajjar

As Dr. Hebel travels around North America and speaks to thousands of dentists every year, he gets asked many questions. Here is the popular question of the month.
Question
Can I make an impression of the implant at the time of implant placement?
Response
I will frequently make impressions of the implant at the time of surgery. If you want to do this, there are certain situations that you should avoid:
1. You should not make an impression with elastomeric impression material when the implant has been placed into an extraction socket. Seldom does the implant and graft material obliterate the socket completely, and as such, impression material under compression will seep into the peri-implant space. Some impression material may be left behind and remain undetected, resulting in a foreign body reaction, and probable loss of the implant.
2. You should not make an impression with elastomeric impression material when you have performed grafting procedures during implant placement, since the graft will be difficult to keep in place during the impression procedure, and some impression material may be left undetected in the graft creating a foreign body reaction.
3. You should not make an impression with elastomeric impression material when the implant is not stable. The implant should preferably be torqued to at least 35 Ncm to verify stability. If the implant moves during the removal of the impression coping or during the insertion of the healing abutment, the impression and final relationship will be inaccurate, the prosthetics will not fit, the cost of the labwork will be wasted and the impression procedure will have to be repeated at a later date, once the implant has stabilized.
If your case does not fall into any of the above categories, then you can go ahead and make the impression. But remember, there are exceptions to every rule, and if you’re not sure, it is always best to let the implant heal and take the impression at second stage.

London . . . where???
London is just a hop, skip and jump away from Detroit or Toronto! (and almost as far south as the northern California border)
For our US customers – NorthWest Airlines has 4 flights a day (45 minutes long) from Detroit into London, (or fly to Toronto and connect to London via Air Canada).
For our Canadian customers – Air Canada has 8 flights a day (30 minutes long) from Toronto into London and WestJet has direct flights from Calgary and Winnipeg.
So don’t let our location scare you away. We’re easy to get to. Flights are frequent, hotel costs are reasonable (not like those huge cities) and the hospitality is great! And with the strong US dollar, it’s a deal to come to Canada!
So what do you say? See you soon . . . . eh!!!

Make money while you learn
If you are bringing a patient to Session 2 or the Surgical Mentorship Program, you can provide the patient with a discount, but still collect a portion of the regular professional fee. Unlike some other training programs, we do not keep this fee.
The patient will be getting a great service - surgery by you (at a reduced fee), under the supervision of Dr. Hebel. And you will be getting a great education - and make some money to help fund your learning!
